Gemmill Park

There is a relatively new power generation building here which is at the base of the falls, but, they have taken the time to design it so that you can walk up to it and get some great views of the falls from either side of the building. The end of the falls is forked, with streams running in 3 directions through trees. Quite pretty. Also noted was a small public washroom building and recycling/waste bins near the parking area. A pleasant quick stop if in Almonte.

Another beautiful spot on the river . Really good toilet facilities . Interesting display of rocks here. Plenty of picinic tables . Sadly you cannot walk over to the falls , only small but beautiful , the hydro station has blocked any access and a wall at rear allows you to get a glimpse but no access. Very pretty area to stop and stare at.

Lovely "in town" park with a little of everything. Creek, waterfalls, beaver, ball diamond, soccer field, horseshoe pits, toboggan hill and a great splash pad. #mississippimills

Gemmill is a fantastic attraction and alively place for the young and old to hang out. With the new splash pad and play structure along sign the new skate park near the tennis courts and baseball diamond it's really a lovely space for young families as well as any other to enjoy a beautiful summer day. Accompanied by 3 bathrooms, and a water bottle filling fountain it's truly great.

We had an ice cream cone at a picnic table by the river. It was a perfect summer day!
