Franz has a first class product. The first time that we bought a fresh turkey from them, I could not believe the extra cleanliness of the turkey, inside and out. Previously, I would be pulling out exta junk left behind by processor and scrubbing the skin under the wings and between legs and body. Also, I was picking out pin feathers that were left behind. With the Franz turkeys there is none of that extra work. I still give it a really good rinse in and out, but that is just for my own peace of mind. Mind you, they cost more, but it truly is worth it.
UPDATE : As of the end of January 2018 Franz will no longer have their public retail operation open for fresh turkey products pickup. This service will truly be missed.
