(July 10, 2021, 4:51 am)We have lived here for 2 1/2 years. Not our first property of choice, but the largest and most attractive at the time. Beautifully renovated 2 bedroom apartment. Very clean building, management is always cleaning, cleanest apartment building I have ever rented or visited. Management are friendly, helpful, and repairs are addressed rather quickly, but not so much during lockdown, which was understandable but annoying. Neighbours are friendly, polite, or keep to themselves. Problems; the homeless man living on the balcony at the front of the building, changing in the foyer when you walk into the building, or sleeping on the couch in the front foyer when you decide to do laundry before the sun comes up. And the biggest disappointment after moving in, the neighbours smoking on their balconies when every new tenant coming in signs an agreement not to, and the city bylaws state it is illegal for all tenants to do so. I have a smoker beside me, one below me, and 2 just moved in below and to the left of my place, they are the worst, new tenants who put a dark screen across the glass railing to hide themselves sitting there smoking, really! I pay for a balcony I can't use because my eyes water, it stinks, and the cigarette smoke sets off my allergies when I do. I seldom open my apartment windows because of the stink! Winter time is great, this is when I get to enjoy fresh air, this is when the smokers risk smoking in their apartments because it is too cold outside. Did I mention that you sign an agreement to pay repairs in your apartment if you smoke in them? We are always looking for another place to live, when housing prices drop, then maybe another house, but for now this apartment is the nicest we have seen, even if the rude smokers around here continue to pollute such a very clean, authentically pleasing rental environment, even the homeless man is more tolerable than harmful cigarette smoke.
