I feel very lucky that I was able to work with Jon, Jeanette and Isaac to build my first house. They went above and beyond at every step and are extremely responsive to requests. I know other people who have built houses recently and they are jealous when they hear about all of the extra features and services that were included. I love my new house!!!

My husband and I just moved into our new home, built by Van Huizen Homes, on November 1st, 2019. This is our third build; however, our first home built by Van Huizen.

First and foremost, we are extremely happy with our home; the layout, craftsmanship, interior and exterior finishes etc. all meet our design visions.

When we were originally "hunting" for a builder we had an idea of home design/layout and budget. We obtained quotes from local builders and had questions for the builders regarding price variations for the same build. It is hard to "see" why one builders' price may vary from another for the same home, prior to construction; however, the answer is crystal clear when you move in - quality of products and trades used throughout the build. You get what you pay for.

It was an absolute pleasure working with this family owned and run business, as well as with their trades. Van Huizen has positive working relationships with all their trades and selects only the best to partner with. The proof is in the product. Nothing is cheap, no corners are cut and the quality is apparent. A lot of finishings that are upgrades with other builders are standards with Van Huizen. Trim, flooring, additional electrical, additional paint colours, sink/vanity selection etc. etc.

The entire process was stress-free and we were as involved along the way as we chose to be. Van Huizen uses an online software portal for their clients that allows real-time updates, selections and communication. We, the owners, were always aware of what stage the build was at, what was scheduled in the coming weeks, what selections for choosing our finishes were pending etc. This process kept both us and Van Huizen in constant contact and eliminated any potential for accidental miscommunication etc.

Our neighbours approached us when we attended the home to see the progress and commented on how tidy the trades kept the property during the build and how gorgeous our home was coming along!

We love our Van Huizen home and can genuinely say that the build, on our end as the client, was a breeze. Everything was constructed with care, finishes were exactly as chosen, personal selected upgrades exceeded our visions and timelines were met!

We are a family with two young children and life is hectic enough - we highly recommend this builder! Van Huizen does not build dozens of "cookie-cutter homes" a year, they build (I am making an educated guess) just over a dozen custom homes a year. Van Huizen homes are quality family homes. Van Huizen homes are custom to your design and vision. Van Huizen homes are quality from the foundation up!

I am not a paid customer. I am just one helluva happy one!
