Suite in the Bush

Beautiful area and lovely B&B. Affordable, very comfortable and very nice owners! Highly recommend! Breakfast has many choices and delicious!

My girlfriend and I have stayed here twice so far with plans to return again in the future. On our last stay we originally had planned only 2 nights but ended up staying 6 nights because we love this place so much.

Aileen and Dave are great folks and are obviously invested into providing a memorable experience at their B&B. Aileen quickly responds to messages, cooks amazing restaurant quality breakfast EVERY day, and keeps the suite in perfect shape.

The suite itself is perfect for short or long term stay. The fireplace keeps you warm, the recliners are perfect for lounging and watching Netflix, and the big windows make it easy to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is well equipped..there's really everything you need here.

The suite is located a few minutes drive from Bancroft. It's easy to get in and out of town and there's easy access to all the nearby roads for exploring the area.

Overall, there really isn't any reason to stay anywhere else in Bancroft. For a couple, this is an amazing getaway in Bancroft and we can't wait to return.

This is a hidden gem 5 minutes south of downtown Bancroft. I was fortunate enough to find this place on Airbnb and was so thankful that I did. It's run by a lovely lady named Aileen and her husband Dave. This cozy bnb is a private suite under a house. There is a wood stove heater so the unit is ways warm and cozy. There is a king bed in the bedroom and very comfortable lazyboy couches in the main room. They have a safe campfire fire pit outside that Dave will setup for you anytime. They give you plenty of firewood so you can keep it going yourself for hours. The breakfast that Aileen cooks is chef quality! We had omelettes, German pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, peameal, turkey bacon, pancakes, hash browns, toast and fresh fruit every morning during our two night stay. The hosts were very accommodating to our needs. In the suite is a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator with freezer, hot plate, toaster, full kitchen with lots of dishes and cups. The WiFi is fast and they even give you access to their Netflix! This location is in the bush so all you see are trees in their backyard. The view of the stars is amazing at night. If you find yourself in Bancroft, Ontario, be sure to book this wonderful bnb if you can!

I booked this suite last minute for a single night. There was a heavy snow storm the evening I arrived, which resulted in several self-induced setbacks. Aileen and Dave handled every setback of mine with astounding competency and grace. Thank you again to you both!
The unit has a separate entrance and is warmed by a large wood stove, which was a delight given the snowy weather. The unit is quite large and has everything you need plus thoughtful extras including being stocked with snacks, movies, and lists of things to do in the area, etc. A truly wonderful gem tucked in the quiet woods surrounding Bancroft.
