I absolutely love this farm! I've volunteered their for more than 10yrs! And I've gotta say that they make you feel super welcome and apart of a family!!! Go check them out you won't be disappointed!!!🥰😍😘
This is a great place to volunteer. It's therapeutic for the volunteers just as much as the riders. It's an honour to be able to spend time around and with the horses. They show you how to groom the horses, sadle them and put the bridal on. Before covid, most volunteer opportunities involved being a side walker, where you would walk alongside the horses, supporting the rider (who could be someone like a small child to a teenager) to ensure they stay stable on the horse and also for emotional support. You can also be a leader, where you guide the horse according to the instructor (you can walk, trot, and halt).
Now during covid, the programs have changed so they aren't able to have riders who require side walkers, but they've come up with new innovative programs for people to be apart of. All the horses are beautiful, have their own personalities, and are very good at what they do! It's amazing to see these animals. There's also friendly barn cats to pet. There's ponies and miniature horses.
Everyone is so helpful and there is always someone there to help you figure things out. They know it can be a lot to learn and perhaps intimidating when you don't know anyone. I look forward to when COVID gets under control and they need side walkers again.
I wish there were more places like this. It's impossible not to feel enriched from the time you spend there.

Had a wonderful ride today. Weather was superb. The horses lovely! And the volunteers helping were very knowledgeable and had a real way with the horses. You could tell they have a great love and respect for the horses. Thank you so much. I think your work with the disabled is so awe inspiring as well!! Keep up the great work. Win, win for all!
I participated in the wellness in the wilderness program. I had a great time! The staff were lovely and the horses were beautiful. The property is so picturesque. I would highly recommend this service.
