Borer's Falls Conservation Area

  One of my favourite waterfalls by far! It’s beautiful and the area around the drop is mesmerizing. You can also get pretty close to the falls itself and experience the serenity of the water close-up. The trail is great as well with many lookout points and pretty even, minus a few large (and beautiful) tree roots covering parts of the trail. For the most part, this trail will either have an open field or wildflowers to your one side (depending on season) and forest/trees to the other with multiple lookouts looking down into the valley. Parking is limited at Rock Chapel and there’s usually a car or two parked at the entrance to this trail next to the road.

  I was there in winter times did not cross the whole area. But what I saw was pretty nice. A lot of small wooden hills. Really nice landscape. A lot of skier were out there. The area is just a few minutes by car from Hamilton.

  Lovely local parkland. There’s a waterfall and a trail and some picnic tables so go nuts and make for a full day out with the family. Keep away from the falls as city of Hamilton and the EMS are tired of doing rope rescues for stupid people.

  The falls are beautiful but I don't recommend doing this with young kids. The trail is very narrow and the drop is huge! The escarpment view trail is also beautiful but much easier to do with kids
