(March 12, 2021, 4:03 pm)Abington Court is a very good retirement home. They have taken very good care of my mom despite the challenges she has presented over the years. They do an excellent job of running this retirement home, which is very challenging since, many residents are aging in place as they wait for long term care placement, which is delayed due to the pandemic and the long waiting lists. This home has not had an outbreak of covid-19! This is very good! Unfortunately, there are several false claims in some of the reviews about Abington Court. There are no bed bug infestations. I am sure that they pay their staff a competitive wage, and they certainly do know what they are doing with respect to following the recommended guidelines and rules during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Sadly, as I have overheard and witnessed myself, it’s the visitors and outside PSW’s that are constantly trying to break the rules, sneak in, not have proper PPE, not do their Covid-19 test, etc. etc. Those people (and you know who you are) have put their own laziness and selfish needs above the health and safety of the residents and staff. And sadly, some of those people have left negative reviews for this retirement home. As such I recommend that you take those “Negative Nellies” and their inaccurate reviews with a grain of salt.

They do an excellent job of running their retirement home, which is very challenging since, many residents are aging in place, while waiting for long term care placement which is delayed due to long waiting lists.
