(July 8, 2019, 10:30 pm)Tried this place for the first time with my British buddy. The fish was tasty and the fries were done just right. Although I'm not a fan of mushy peas, he enjoyed them! We will definitely be back

(April 8, 2019, 6:00 pm)I had dinner here the other day. Great place! They have battered sausage, curry sauce, and mushy peas, which you don't see in chippies here in North America. I will definitely be going back whenever I am in the area as it's the most authentic British style chippy I've found. The owner was nice also. My In-laws, who are Scottish enjoyed it as well

(April 8, 2019, 2:16 pm)My wife and I have visited The Lighthouse twice on our continuing quest for the best chippy in Hamilton. With comforting traditional decor; this place is run by a pleasant British couple who offer decent fish and chips, optional mushy peas and a particularly authentic chip shop curry sauce for the more adventurous. The fish is always freshly prepared in a light crispy batter, but sadly the chips are the thinner cut variety, and the overall portions could be a bit bigger. Despite these minor caveats it's still probably the best we've found in the area so far and recommended.
