  Lisa is an incredible therapist who's helped me with everything from addiction, to relationship issues to childhood trauma. She's incredibly savvy on a wide array of personal issues and has contacts throughout the mental health community if you need help getting in touch with psychiatrists, other types of crisis workers or rehab centers.

  Lisa has been incredible in teaching me tools to improve my relationship dynamics. She is patient in understanding her clients first and is able to quickly shine light on issues that were always hidden beneath the surface. She gave me the ability to work through my own struggles and change my outlook on how I approach certain challenges. Highly recommend her services!!!

  I highly recommend Protea Counselling for all your counselling needs.
  
  In times of unfortunate trauma or difficulty in surviving the stresses of a sometimes turbulent world, it is very nice to know that there is a local counselling service available!
  
  It can be very difficult to have access to such an experienced and knowledgeable counselor such as Lisa Ivall. She has proven to bring empathy, knowledge, confidentiality and professionalism to all of her clients. It is very evident that Lisa has a great passion for helping people in every type of difficult and traumatic event.
  
  She has a very natural way of putting a person at ease. Her personable/caring and friendly personality shines through and is a very welcome aspect of her counselling services.

  Lisa was my manager for one year and supervised me during my time as an addictions counsellor. She was an incredible support, professionally and personally. Lisa's clinical knowledge and counselling skills surrounding mental health and trauma are truly sound. She is empathetic, compassionate and patient. I was very lucky to have her support and would certainly recommend her as a counsellor.

  Lisa has provided me with extremely effective anti bullying strategies that I have used in my classroom. I have tried various strategies and hers have made the most difference and built confidence in my students. Thank you Lisa!
