Birdie's Perch

While the wait time wasn't obvious, it was worth it! We shared a 5 piece Perch Cone with fries and slaw, and it was the best Fish and Chips of my summer. The Garlic dipping sauce that was included was amazing on both the fish and the fries, and it reminded me of a Mediterranean garlic sauce. Lemon wedge and lots of ketchup and vinegar for the fries was included too. Had decent shade under the umbrellas and there was lots of seating to be socially distant, even though it was quite busy.

Food was good. Loved the streety feel to the whole place.

Will definitely come back here.

Plus they cook their stuff in Canola oil and no lard in their tacos! So the fish is definitely Halal!

Great perch tacos and fries!

I've been here a few times now, and I can safely say that this is the best restaurant I've ever been to. One thing I want to first emphasize is that the food and service have both been consistently exceptional, whereas I feel that most other restaurants simply are not at THIS level of consistency.

The workers were committed to excellent service and were very friendly throughout. The woman who typically takes orders at the front of the bus was very attentive and helpful, but not pushy, and I just wanted to give her a big shout-out in case she's reading this! Keep doing a great job and I'm sure many more customers will continue coming back for more. It's always nice when a restaurant succeeds because of its staff and not in spite of it.

And of course the food was just as amazing as the service that was offered. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for what you receive. The menu favourite that keeps me coming back for more is the famous 3-piece or 5-piece yellow perch cone & fries with the in-house (or should I say in-bus?) Birdie's Perch sauce. I prefer adding extra Birdie sauce on top of it since I feel it complements the dish really well. The fish comes from a local source, Lake Erie, and it tasted super fresh.

Overall, Birdie's Perch provides nothing but excellence and I recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable restaurant experience!
