I have been a patient of Dr. Schmitz for over fifteen years and just experienced a torn retina requiring immediate attention. Dr. Schmitz's quick response upon discovering this was occurring was paramount in preventing a complete retinal detachment. I was treated that same day and when examined by the opthalmologist who performed the surgery he stated emphatically that "Dr. Schmitz is someone you want on your team." It was a credit to her caring and thoroughness and is the kind of care our whole family has received for many years.
