  Mark your calendar for the Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival! The kids love it! The proceeds support a local charity. Walk the path down to the sugar bush and learn how maple syrup is made and was discovered.

  Come out every year for the 'Maple Syrup Festival'!
  
  We've gone 2 years in a row and it's a welcome change of scenery for the kids.
  
  The pancake breakfast is always consistent and they churn out food very fast with the help of their student helpers.
  
  The tour down into the woods plus the horse + carriage ride (which you have to pay for) is always fun for the kids.
  
  Dress warm though!
