I come here all the time with my dog and we always have a great time. There are usually a few dogs around to play with and the owners are friendly as well. The creek is nice in the summer because the dogs can play in it.
We walk the trails on a weekly basis. Little bit of country in my backyard. The community Centre is great for small gatherings and the playground is good for little ones.Only issue that was never addressed is the poor signage for the various trails - they show a sign saying “you are here” but it doesn’t show where you are in relation to the conservation area. Useless really to newcomers. Otherwise I love the park.
Had a great time taking one of my dogs with me for the first time and try an off leash park. Only thing was my dog is very small and is 3 years old (small breed) and alot of people walking around not close to their dogs or if they saw me using my leash and my dog going be hide me they didnt say anything until they got closer and their dog was already ran up to us and running around after making my little guy nervous. Having a big German shepherd run towards a small little pug like dog isnt fun. It's like king Kong run toward one of us as a human. I think it would be better if my dog went more and knew the dog coming over nicely and not a beeline at us.
Great place to walk your dog. Both an on leash and off leash park with large open areas, trails, creeks, and forest. There is a small fenced in area also near the main enterance
Lovely park and lots of space for dogs! My only complaint is the the steps to get to the main park area can be really icy and dangerous in the winter. Otherwise this is a great place to visit for a hike, and if you have a dog there's a large space for dogs to play off-leash and a few different trails to hike with your pup.
