My husband and i made a decision to bring the kids to DESP after being at another local school for many years. Of course our 2 children were anxious and upset with us, having made the decision to move.
Mrs. Mason and her team did an amazing job of transitioning them both Gr 4 and 5 into their new school environment. Our oldest child adapted quickly to her new surroundings and made friends the first day... our younger one struggled with the change. His teachers kept in tight communication with me helping us to know what to focus on at home to ensure both kids got the best experience possible.
Academically, the structure of the school as a parent looking in is top notch and we are very pleased with our decision to move.
Well Done DEPS we look forward to another school year with you.

Great Beginnings Montessori School and Durham Elementary Private school hosted their annual Christmas concert. Children from 18 months to grade 8 performed with the theme of the evening "Make a Wish". The students entertained family and friends with music, songs and instruments.
