(July 3, 2020, 3:14 pm)There has been talk of tearing this place down and replacing it with something newer, requiring less repairs and renovations, etc...has been around for at least 30 years. However, it survives and is a VITAL part of our health care system in Nova Scotia. For a building of this age, it is surprisingly well maintained, and the staff are quite wonderful. You can complain all you want about long wait times and such, but health care in Canada is FAR better than in our neighbour to the south, in a number of very important ways. Its not perfect but its much better than many of the alternatives.

(June 21, 2020, 1:35 pm)I've never really had a bad experience getting good health care here. The place is quite accessible, though parking is paid. It can be really confusing to get around but there are maps, signposts and helpful volunteers wearing red vests standing around everywhere..and if you're still lost just ask pretty much anyone passing by.
There's sometimes a farmers market out in front of the Centennial building so check their website for the most up to date scheduled. They also have a decent food court. -

(January 24, 2019, 2:01 am)Great hospital with a lot of elevators and many floors. Residents eat a lot of jello. Kiosk based self check in is wonderful. They keep the cold ones in the basement so unless your appointment is on a bottom floor you should be fine. Talk to you doctor about how to access medical blueberries.
