(July 26, 2016, 5:58 am)Another of the batteries at Point Pleasant Park, designed for defense of the city, with great views of the harbour mouth. When I was a kid we could walk around the battery and loved it, but unfortunately it has been fenced off for safety reasons. Hopefully someday it will receive some maintenance so people can look more closely at this example of our country's military history. Several other great sites at Point Pleasant Park.

Great place to go for a walk a little bit of history and beautiful views. Lots of trails to walk and all going over which way. Makes it easy to have a different experience every trip.
