  The good: friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and there is lots to choose from. Waterslide and pool were fun. Lots of tvs around on lower level while eating of hanging out. Rooms are well equipped and the lighting is good. Beds are comfy.
  
  The bad: when it's busy it is hard to find a parking spot especially in the winter. The rooms by the elevator and stairs allow you to hear every noise at all times of day and night. Found multiple dead bugs in our room the kind you find inside of bark on a dead rotting tree. I didn't find any live ones but it was unsettling. Pool area is quite dirty. Not sure if I will stay here again.

  Excellent customer service and the location can't be beat. Directly off the highway, out of town enough to not be expensive but close enough to offer you every experience Halifax has to offer.

  I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel was in a great location. Close to the highway, food chains, gas stations, and also the home of the friend I was in the city to visit. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were large clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The pool was also a lot of fun and I'm pretty sure the other adults and I enjoyed the water slide more than any of the children that were around. My only issue with the hotel was the amount of single use plastics in use. I would love to see k cups, plastic cups, plastic cutlery, paper plates, and toiletries replaced with more environmentally friendly alternatives. I understand these things take time, but if these changes were made I would give five stars!

  We were there as overnight guests. Our room washandy to the elevator but didn't seem loud. there were a couple of sports teams at least in the hotel overnight but it didn't seem to be overly noisy considering the amount of people there. We loved the green yellow and red signal lights in the elevator for the busy times for breakfast! we also liked that the room seem to be recently renovated... At least within the last couple of years. Very nice. Would stay there again.

  While I did not stay at this time, my brother locked his keys in his car while he was at a Christmas party at the Holiday Inn. We went back today and tried to open the car to get his keys. While we were unsuccessful in opening the car and had to call a tow truck, there was a worker there who went above and beyond to help us! He offered his time and help, plus recommended a great towing service to get the keys out. Thank you so much for your help! We really appreciated it! This just goes to show the staff are extremely great even if you are not staying.
