Terradyne Wellness Centre

Changing my life started here for me. I came in lost and without any direction. The clinical team Sean and Ashley were god sends and have also been my best friends through some of the most difficult moments in my life. The clinical team is really what makes this place work, without them it's just another house on the ocean. I can always rely on Sean or Ashley and they have always been available to me even after my time at Terradyne was over. I'm 32 and never finished school. While at Terradyne I decided to go back to university at MSVU, to get a degree in Psychology. 3 months ago I would have never dreamed I would be living in another country attending university after what my life had become up to that point. It's a small, intimate, personalized environment at Terradyne so theres no way you can get lost in shuffle. The chef Kim had me making pasta and boiling lobsters in her fantastic cooking classes and I will always miss her cheesecake. I have been to over 14 treatment centers and this is the only one I am coming back to volunteer at. I have been to treatment centers that offered many more amenities and extra features however the actual program for addictions is where this place soars. Theres no massage, acupuncture, hot tub, company vehicle ect but there are the 2 therapists with their treatment and aftercare plan which matters the most. There definitely could be improvements in the amenity arena and in the overall facilities, but you cant put a price on good people like Ashley Weare and Sean Gisler. They are the only people I trust with addiction and I have been in the addiction business unfortunately for 16 years, so take my word for it. Kaley is one of the support staff members and we have gone on some pretty amazing hikes and she has showed me the sights of Nova Scotia which made me fall in love with the area and want to permanently live here. Courtney is new to the team and brings great joy and energy when sometimes I was lacking both of these thing. These 4 people are very motivating and help this place stand out even without the bells and whistles of the many 5 star resort treatment centers of the states and canada. I am looking forward to starting my new life in Canada and that is thanks to the clinicians and support staff.
