(March 13, 2018, 10:13 pm)This is another one of the more exciting discoveries in this area of the Long Lake Provincial Park. It is on a trail that used to be the Old St. Margaret's Bay Road. As you go along the Old St. Margarets Bay Road in the Long Lake Provincial Park, you will find a road to the north. Along this road you will find the final resting place of John Umlah b. June 20,1829, d. February 19, 1893. John Umlah lived and farmed in the area for many years. A significant portion of what is now Long Lake Provincial Park was expropriated from his heirs in 1953-54. The exact coordinates for the John Umlah tombstone are: N 44° 36.725 W 063° 39.332
