After 5 years of dealing with pain, sciatica, physio, massage, pain clinic etc., always saying it's my back. I only had some progress but it's still dibilating. My family doctor, referred me to Dr. Atkinson and she was excellent. She did more movement/ muscle type tests and questions then physio and a back surgeon combined and turns out it's my piriformis not my back. I even suggested it to physio before, could it be that? But it was always "nope it's your back" (MRI, CT scans had shown a slight herniated disc) I now have appointment with a new physio and hopefully correction to the actual problem.
Dr. Atkinson was very friendly and explained things very well. I pretty much wanted to hug her for figuring out my issue. Office and waiting area is nice , bright and clean.
