Besides having a cool name, this is an awesome bike shop! Jonathan tuned up 3 bikes for me to get this season started. He had my kids mountain bikes ready to ride, with new tires, fixed brakes & new gearshifts (their bikes get a lot of use in a year!) My road bike was all fixed up with new tires, a better seat & cool new grip wrapped on the handlebars. I even messaged him when the shop was closed and asked of he could have a bike ready for us in 4 days on time for a camping trip and he delivered!
Extremely (beyond) reasonable prices.
We're lucky to have this shop, there aren't many around and in the past I've waited over a month to get the bikes back. 110% recommend Kitchen Party Cycles!
Oh- and if you happen to be riding by, he has a cooler of free H20 & a rest zone outside the shop...you'd want to stop if heading into Argyle because it means you just conquered "La Butte à Shneider"! (a big hill lol)
Jonathan has an easy going personality that makes you feel right at home in his cycling shop. The first time he opened his shop, I was one of his first customers stopping in with a broken spoke- his genuine and at-service attitude put a spare wheel on my bike so I could finish my ride while he fixed my wheel! His knowledge extends to fixing derailleurs and he is environmentally conscientious with refurbishing-more like pimping- old bikes! ;)
Small town hospitality combined with big city know-how and vision. Jonathan is the best, and he cares for our all the bikes that live at our house; from the kids’ cruisers to the mountain bikes to the road to the TT- he does it all! Whether it’s truing carbon wheels or identifying and fixing sounds, or just picking out and putting on a boy’s favourite colour pedals/grips, all four of us always leave jazzed, and ride off happily into the sunset. 10/10.
Jonathan’ bike shop was a great surprise in our day while touring across NS. Great mechanical advices, cold water and enthusiasm about bikes!
Lovely bike shop! You can't go wrong.
