  Dicks' is a Bell Island treasure. Make sure you stop in fresh off the ferry as the lines build quickly.
  The staff is friendly and professional, however, due to the rush of people getting off the ferry, they can get behind on clearing tables in a timely fashion.
  As the local Newfies have expressed; you haven't been to Bell Island unless you've eaten a plate of Dicks'.

  Beau, bon, pas cher. Had the fish and chip which was really good. The concept of ordering at the counter and paying ahead of time is interesting. But they serve you the food at the table. So why can't they come take the order at the table? Packaged tartar sauce should be replaced by fresh-made.

Really its the only place to eat on Bell Island in the off season as the other two places in town are closed. This is your old school diner with good basic food and generous portions.

Dicks is a landmark at the ferry terminal on Belle Island returning back to the Mainland, after you line up at the ferry, you can walk to Dicks & Order food & have a drink while waiting for the ferry to pull in & you still have time to walk back to your vehicle to board the ferry.
