Love this place, fresh everything. Everyone is very nice. Love going for the ice cream, the custard and gelato you must try!!!!

My wife and I went here for the first time today. I love locally owned stores and found this establishment charming. They seemed to have quality products. Happy so far with what we purchased. Had a delicious milkshake but I have 2 complaints. First was that for $5 it was on the small side. I still very much enjoyed it, just found it a bit pricey. My second complaint may seem silly but I have never experienced this before. I paid cash for the milkshake (after buying our other items inside) and was short 1 penny. I repeat...1 penny! She would not let this slide. I asked if she had a penny to which she just stared at me like I was I was out of my mind to ask such a thing. She then suggested I pay with a card. I suppose there may be some very strict rules regarding the register but as I said I have never had this happen. I have always been told that there was a penny or just not to worry about it. I have left pennies and other change many times and I don't see anything wrong with what I did. I feel like I was not valued as a customer and I'm not sure if I would return because of it. Am I wrong to feel this way? I don't think so. If it was me waiting on a customer who was a penny short I would put it in myself. If I had no pennies in my pocket I would've made a point to find one, most likely in my car. May not return.
