It would have been nice to visit if the place was actually open. Doors locked and washrooms inaccessible. We were there mid day during the week.
The view was the saving grace, and nice view of the surrounding area.
Staff was friendly and the place was clean The tour was informative. The only drawback was that the tower was closed for renovations at this time. The view of the harbour from the base of the tower was still good due to it being on a hilltop.
A very nice museum explaining the history of the tower. The video that we watched before the tour was exceptional. Really well-made. Unfortunately the tower itself was closed for renovations , but judging from the movie we watched it is very interesting to watch when it opens.
Cool tower to see. When we went was undergoing restorations so we couldn't go inside. Circa war of 1812.
Good to see that old establishment in SJ
