  Its a nice airport for the final stop which the destination of Winnipeg is. What is really irritating is the lengthy delay to retrieve checked luggage from flights originating outside of Canada. It can be up to 30 minutes after you depart the plane before the baggage belt stirs to life only to stop a few minutes later. This is before you clear Canada Customs secondary inspections. I've traveled all over the world, and Winnipeg has the slowest international baggage service I've ever experienced.

  Oh. My. God. This place was FREEZING the moment it landed. I blame Air Canada for my unpleasant flight. The airplane was cold, like below 5c. It was probably my fault as I'm just wearing a sweatpant and shirt. Everyone else was wearing winter jackets. I wish I would've worn a winter jacket in his flight. The other flights from Japan and Vancouver were hot and I didn't think much about it. My advice would be prepare a winter jacket during the winter months as I was shivering the whole time when I landed and they switched off the heaters in the plane. Probably my fault for underestimating the Winnipeg winter lol. This airport is pretty simple and quiet when I landed.

  Very nice airport! Open spaced and bright! Easy to get to and the people/staff are very friendly and courteous! Excellent experience travelling out of YWG! ????????????????
