My dog Ryo has the food aggression issue and we had a hard time correcting him. We took him to PetSmart training, which didn't work. Then we decided to send him to Debbie. Ryo spent 10 days there and when we saw him on the pick-up day, we felt like we just got a new dog. He has made much progress there with the help of Debbi and her team. We are still working on the consistent training with Debbie's instructions and suggestions. Ryo is doing good in loose leah walking now, and we are on the way to help him with the food aggression issue.

Ok, this will sound cheesy but I am over the moon about this training experience we had with Prairieburn K9 and Debbi and Grayson and I am sure all the other staff that assisted with “Leo’s rehabilitation” there. Leo was always a good dog it was “us” the owners l, that were not good dog parents for Leo Debbi taught Leo how to listen to us. But we were not allowed to interact with Leo on pickup until she trained us humans how to listen and interact with Leo. What a blessing Debbi and her team are. This is NO “let’s do dog training to make a few bucks”. (As every second post from Various people on Facebook and Instagram) This is the real deal!! Debbi is direct, no fool around, serious Dog Trainer. It is evident that this is her passion and her purpose! When we arrived after the stay and train after Leo’s 4night stay, we saw a calm relaxed happy Dog! I cried on the way home Iwas thrilled that Leo and Ihave a lot of work to yet do. This is not easy there is no fast fix but the benefits of having a calm Dog is a life changer! Forever grateful. The new diet for Leo is wonderful and my little 3lb poodle loves it also. Just need more. Please don’t mess with the imitation trainers. You will be amazed by her work with the pups/kiddos as Debbi calls them I am an actual client from the first week of August/21

Where to even begin… I called Deb after our dog who had never shown any aggression toward any human started showing “aggression” towards our 1.5 year old toddler. We of course felt blindsided and as if it come out of nowhere…. We could not have been more wrong about so many different aspects. It turns out our dog was acting out of a place of fear and over-stimulation rather than aggression and Prairieburn’s online program taught us that the signs were there all along, we just weren’t familiar with how to read them. Not only do we have a better understanding of how to read our dogs body language, we are now also equipped with the knowledge of how to harbour a calm and confident atmosphere for her.

When the issues came up with our toddler we were at the point of considering rehoming our dog to ensure our child’s safety, but ultimately we just loved her too much to give up on her that easy… we were determined to make it work and after a few phone calls with Deb we decided to send our dog for a 4 day stay and train. Well let me tell you it was the best decision we’ve ever made… we went from preparing to say goodbye to her and sending her to live with someone else, to picking up an entirely different dog than the one we dropped off at Prairieburn in less than a week. She is calm, respectful on leash, and is a dream to walk. She is responsive and recalls amazingly well off leash (which prior to the training we never would have been comfortably even trying for fear of how she might behave if another dog were to show up). The placement training is literally a godsend. I could go on for hours… There is not one aspect of our relationship with our dog that isn’t better than it was prior to the training.

For those who are thinking about doing a stay and train.. The weeks and months following your stay and train will be a tremendous amount of work, but if you stay motivated and committed to reinforce the systems the prairieburn team put in place while your dog was at the stay and train…. There is no possible way that you won’t be pleased with the results.

Thank you Deb, Grayson, Trinity and the rest of the Prairieburn team for helping us restore our relationship with our beloved Stella, and teaching us how to create a calm and respectful atmosphere so that our family can live happily and safely in harmony once again.

Choosing to go see Debbie at Prairieburn K9 Academy was hands down one of the best choosing for our dog and us. Stella our Saint Bernard has became much more relaxed and confident with in our decisions. She has stopped responding to other dogs and odd sounds. I can now feel comfortable walking both our saint and shepherd at the SAME time without feeling nervous of reactions! Would recommend Prairieburn to any dog owner!!

I have a low confidence dog who becomes reactive with dogs he doesn’t know. I only wish I went to Debbie sooner! She has a fantastic program and provides your dog with rules and boundaries. As Debbie has said this is a journey and my dog and I have a ways to go however the changes that have been made so far are amazing!
