Awesome high tea but the room uostairs was so terribly hot, the ladies were all about to pass out. Some of the weets were almost too sweet. I did notice that everything on the tower tray had the same colour- brown. Not very appealing.

Luck brought us to The Ole Farmhouse. We just happened by and saw a busy parking lot and figured we better go see what the fuss was about. You're welcomed by a sign that says "Come in we're Awesome" which immediately made my day. And they were right! We didn't have a reservation which they said isn't necessary but advised at peak hours. The cafe is a rustic two story farmhouse that's cozy and comfortable. Booths or small tables but you almost feel like you sat down in your grandma's dining room and she's baking fresh cinnamon buns in the kitchen (which they do and the aroma is heavenly). The menu looked great and the breakfast was perfectly done and prompt. And they serve cracklings as a meat choice, which I gotta say is a guilty pleasure but on a sourdough rye toast with jam, it's a welcome blast from the past for me. Oh and service was extremely personable and friendly. Worth the trip if you're ever looking for that hidden jem café. Go for a drive with a friend and try it.

Fantastic hidden little gem out in Rosenort. Everything is homemade, the staff is friendly and the cinnamon buns are the BEST I've ever had! Book a reservation, take the drive and eat everything - you will not be disappointed ????

    *update 3*
Review has been restored to 5 stars.
Last few visits have been consistently good. The last one in particular was great, even though it was busy we were found a seat within a few minutes, were served almost immediately and received our food within five minutes of placing our order. I was very impressed. I have also noticed an improvement in the friendliness of the serving staff.

Last visit the service was much better. Received our food surprisingly quick. And as usual the food was delicious. Still some room for improvement for the serving staff. The server sounded more like they were just there because it's work rather than to make the customer feel welcome. A smile can go a long way in making customers feel welcome and showing a little bit of excitement to see the customer.

I have removed this negative section of the review as the experience I had is no longer relevant. Service since has been consistently exceptional.

Great friendly service. The food is fantastic. They also offer takeout! (picture) and the bakery goods are great!
