Inn and the Forks, in my opinion, is perfectly centrally located at the Forks with unique views of downtown Winnipeg and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights building. There are plenty of outdoor activities, shops, restaurants and entertainment outside of the hotel's front doors. Take an additional 10 minute walk and find St Boniface, Winnipeg's largely french sector, the downtown's exchange district riddled with heritage buildings, pubs, shops, art galleries, and live entertainment. The hotel has welcoming and knowledgable front desk staff. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were like home. The restaurant, the Smith, is a fun spot for modern comfort food, and trendy drinks and appetizers. In the lounge you could catch a Jets game in the lounge or a live show; great atmosphere.
Went for an 80th birthday party at Smith and it was great. They accommodated our large group very well and the service was awesome. We had the full menu to order from and the food came quickly. Amazing food as usual for Smith. We would highly recommend it.
A fairly central location if you have meetings downtown. The big plus is that it is right my Forks Market. That gives you a lot of options for drinks and dinner. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable. Had a chance to eat Smiths Restaurant in the hotel - service and food was good. My hotel of choice when visiting Winnipeg.
Had a work function at this hotel. The hotel is located in a nice area with lots of things to do around. Didn't get a chance to check out the spa, but the room was very nice and clean and slept comfortably. The restaurant was good, seemed like it would be awesome but it wasn't out of this world. The event room was nice but the projection screen was too small and the food was average.
Very nice hotel. Room was very clean and spacious, bed was really comfortable. The bar food was fantastic. If you get a chance order the sausage platter, it was awesome. Docking one star because the bar pours were really skimpy, so a double scotch was less than a typical single anywhere else (at least in the US).
