And the "service" is getting more expensive for less. They pretty much force you to pay extra to reserve, instead of just adding more sailings. As not reserving is nearly a guaranteed missed ferry during summer months.
They seem to be unintentionally making the case for a bridge to the sunshine coast. -

(July 20, 2021, 9:11 pm)The staff at the booths are always super happy and friendly. They're very aware of the needs of the disabled and both they and crew on ship bend over backwards. If you need to be near an elevator due to disability or injury you can just ask!
The guides are easy to follow and loading and unloading is painless. If you're on a small ferry, be warned, they turn around at both ends so it takes 10-15 minutes longer than the larger.
Make a reservation or you will be stuck waiting, sometimes upwards of 5 hours. -

(July 14, 2021, 7:35 pm)Took this ferry on a Wednesday just after noon and it wasn’t packed at all. Great price $10/adult. Parking was close by at the Lion’s mark parking lot where we got 5hrs for just under $14.00 which is a steal. Great views on the ferry ⛴ carrying us to Bowen Island 🌴 ..... Enjoy the boat ⛵️ ride..... take a light sweater as the winds can get slightly cold 🥶 depending on your temperature comfort level
