(June 30, 2020, 12:08 am)We got the Sunday prime rib 3-course meal. Didn't expect much from it but it went beyond expectation. We got both options of salads and desserts. The prime rib is top quality and I think its a lot better than many steak houses including The Keg.
Service for curb side pick up was easy. Alex helped us and he was awesome!!! -

(June 29, 2020, 3:34 am)It's been a few years since I was here and I remember it being a great place for a steak. I'm happy to say that things haven't change. Without a doubt, Chops is one of the best steak houses in Richmond. Prices have gone up a bit and the portions were smaller than I remember( the Filet Mignon was about the size of 2 hamburger patties from a fast food restaurant) but everything was perfectly prepared. Definitely a great place to go if you are a steak lover

I had ribs and a couple drink. Was alright. Nothing fantastic. But it worked. Good for a social work night.
Parking was very limited. Lucked out on a spot close. The road was a one way as there is construction all around the building. -

(January 20, 2020, 9:29 pm)We went to this restaurant during Dine Out. As such, experiences may be better or worse during normal times. Tldr: If it was just the food experience, I would give Chop a 3 (average - not bad but not great). But the ambiance and service added another star.
The parking lot for this restaurant is on the side of the Sandman parking. You'll need to park in spots that say reserved for Chop customers and register your plate at the entrance. From start to finish, the wait staff were professional and friendly. Even when there was a delay in attending our table, it was communicated to us ahead of time and we were brought drinks in the meantime.
In terms of food, all of the dishes were nicely presented but the taste was average. That's not to say they were bad, the steak and salmon were sufficiently juicy and seasoned. The crab cakes were crunchy on the outside and flavourful on the inside. The highlight of the meal was the fudge cake at the end. -

(June 30, 2019, 12:10 pm)The chop burger is amazing. The taste is indescribable. Have to try it to love it. The service is also great too. Love the fact this place always have a table.
