Yaas Grill Restaurant 2077

Let me start by saying the food here is great. We’ve been coming here since before the pandemic and our favourite is the lamb. Prices are fair and the grilled tomato served with every plate is a great addition to the meal. But we visited yesterday and are now certain we won’t be back, at least for a while.

The servers bringing your food to the table do not wear masks. There was only one elderly lady who did, most likely for her own health. This is problematic as they answer our questions inches away from our faces and hand things to us diners, who are not wearing a mask for obvious reasons. Tables are cleaned for maybe 5 seconds after a party leaves. The sales associates at retail stores who wipe down the fitting rooms before we enter do a better job than the staff at Yaas. We’ve dined out several times already but we did not feel safe dining here.

They can sell bottles of sanitizer and single boxes of masks for $30, but can’t afford or care enough to provide them for their staff? The refusal to enforce something so simple such as having their staff wear a mask clearly conveys that they do not care not only about their customers, but their staff as well. It is not just for our protection; it’s also theirs especially when they come face to face with customers and with each other. They don’t screen the people coming in and asymptomatic carriers are still contagious. Unfortunately, eating their good food just isn’t worth the risk.

I am always on the hunt for something new to eat in Vancouver. After trying multiple Iranian Restaurants, it is safe to say that Yaas is one of the best! To my knowledge they are one of the few restaurants who baked their bread fresh on each order. It is something that both intrigued and impressed me. There is a ton of space to sit and enjoy our BEAUTIFUL Vancouver views.~~

Great food with great service very reasonable price and free parking, you will be permanent costumer

The amount of variety of Persian food is tremendous at this location. It is fresh, tasty and delicious. The prices are fair and the portions are adequately generous. The space itself is clean and bright and the service is attentive and friendly. Whenever I'm in town I'll definitely come back.
