(November 16, 2020, 9:24 pm)I was off work waiting for emergency surgery on my back. My EI benefits had run out and my application for disability was held up. I had zero income for 4 mos. I used up all my savings and my cupboards were bare. My pride would not allow me to get help. Then the Pandemic happened and things got desperate. I called several food banks and the only one who called me back was Ryan's Rainbow. I cried all the way there. I had never needed to use a food bank so I was overwhelmed by their generosity. I was so grateful.
