  I have been taking lessons with Courtenay for just over a year, having gone from playing bass/backup vocals to lead vocals and bass in a BC Blues Band I really had to step my game up. I would get sore, tired and raspy after just a few songs.
  Recently going back into the studio I managed to record 32 songs in one day (2 takes each song), that would never have been possible if I hadn't been studying Courtenays method.
  The lessons are fun, informal and relaxed and I continue to progress.

  I've been singing for years and taking lessons on and off, since I was a kid. While I've learnt from all the teachers I've had in the past, I've never quite learnt how to reliably reach more challenging notes while staying relaxed, or how to control multiple parts of my body at the same time to maintain this relaxed position. Courtenay is an amazing teacher. He keeps it simple with a handful of basic exercises that are interesting and effective in helping me come closer and closer to consistently producing a clean tone, even while singing a high note. I like that he focuses on isolating the high-note muscle rather than on what this or that part of me is doing, which I found very frustrating. Courtenay has a very keen ear and passion for music that is very inspiring. Looking forward to learning more from him.

  I’ve always loved singing but I never knew how to do it “right”. This year I finally decided to take a singing lesson and I couldn’t be happier that my first teacher was Courtenay. Courtenay is very passionate about music and his lessons are super fun. I already see huge improvements compared to where I started. Thanks Courtenay! 100% recommend :)

  Courtenay is an excellent vocal coach who seamlessly integrates his technical breadth of knowledge with a lesson plan that caters to his students. I am quite happy with the progress I've made under his tutelage.

  Courtenay's approach to vocal coaching is highly technical, with a deep understanding of the mechanics of a singer's vocal cords, air column, etc., that I find extremely useful. It's hard work, and the approach may be different than other coaches, but if you stick with it you will definitely see results. There are a few big chunks of music I've had to tackle in recent days that I absolutely would not have survived without his expert help!
  
  If you are looking for an experienced, friendly, highly knowledgeable vocal coach, I absolutely cannot say enough nice things about Courtenay Ennis Vocal Studio.

  I took up lessons with Courtenay in order to learn a song for my wedding. He has been patient and very very creative in the process of teaching me how to sing properly. I am getting better each time using his seasoned techniques. I never thought I would reach some of the notes I do now. He is an amazing musician and teacher Thank you for all your coaching, Courtenay!
