Tynehead Dog Park

A great dog park carried terrain and vegetation. Trees and groves to run through. Creeks and puddles to splash in. Truely a little bit of dog heaven. Only down side is one vehicle access point on a trail is not properly secured in a way to prevent dogs from freely leaving the park.

Awesome space with lots of dogs and people. The space is vast. I love walking my dogs here.

This is a really nice park. The only downside is that I wish some of it was paved (my dogs are old and don't like walking on sharp rocks). Lots of nice trails and foliage.

Tynehead is a great hiking and even biking park. Although some trails discourage biking, there is enough trails for peddlers and walkers alike to get a good dose of exercise. There are picnic areas, a fish hatchery that gives tours, a rather large off leash dog park with waste bins and poop bags available. There is also a kids summer camp area there as well. If walking at a casual pace, it could possibly take as long as 2-3 hours to fully explore every trail, possibly more if you include the trails that branch away from main routes. Unfortunately no playground for kids, but the hatchery is loads of fun for them.

This is a great to walk your dog off leash, big area with walking trails. Does need more parking now, as people have discovered it and it gets very busy on the weekends. If you walk a dog or own one always pick up after them at all times. This rule applies to everyone, some still feel it's not their job to pick up after their dog. Well it is, so be responsible for your pet. If you forget a dog bag ask so.eone for a dog bag.
