  CAFE - Haven't stayed in hotel so this is strictly about the once really good cafe... Now average at best for a breakfast and lunch only greasy spoon.
  
  Issue is service... Food is really good, portions are generous and location is excellent but while the servers are friendly, the service tends to be slow and inattentive. Food is slow arriving more often than not and frequently not as hot as it should be... Either add 1 more on the floor or convince the current servers to step things up and by doing so they should be rewarded...

  Great basic food! Prices reasonable. Service is good. Went for breakfast - came very hot. Large serving could have shared. Great family spot. Decor is vintage. Would like to try lunch menu. Will be back.

  great breakfasts & lunches, large portions
  very much comfort food. Very friendly staff.
  Note, not open for dinner, one has to go to the Pub other end of the building, different kitchen but still good food in substantial portion!!!

  Been here for breakfast a couple of times. Good hearty breakfasts, good neighborhood feeling where locals gather.
  
  Kitchen service was longer than normal both times. Unfortunately, food was not hot upon arrival to table both times. There's always room for improvement.
  
  Great friendly service from 2 hard working waitresses.

  The cafe is not very big, and service may be a little at times but the food is great, portion is quite big, and price is reasonable. Very nice place to sit down and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend it.
