  I went into shady island and this blond hair server named Hanna greeted me, she was super friendly and very nice, she had a very great attitude and made the experience incredible, I would love to eat here again and hopefully have her serve me for a second time.

  The Shady Island is a must-visit restaurant in Steveston. Whether it's inside (cozy, welcoming), or outside on the patio (great views), you have options. One of the most popular items there is fish & chips (cod, salmon or halibut), and that alone is worth the trip out there, but they also have a clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl that is rich and flavourful. In general, their menu is well rounded with burgers, pasta dishes and some really decadent desserts. Service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended stop while in Steveston!
