  I booked the entire place for my birthday last year, manager was super nice about it, booked it without a problem.
  
  A little on the pricer side but all that meant was worth it.

  Great BBQ. Great service. Only complaint is the menu I looked at from the link here the prices are not right. Only reason for the 4 star

  I was there on a weeknight for dinner. It wasn't busy and plenty of tables available in the restaurant. Parking was about half a block away so there's street parking available. Restaurant was difficult to find at night especially if you're not familiar with the area. I don't recall seeing any lighted signage on the outside. Food was served quickly and the BBQ ribs tasted good. The chicken thigh and fries was OK. It's too bad the platter didn't have enough veggies. I wish they could provide more veggies.

  Hog Shack is one of the best places for BBQ in BC. From their ribs to their sides, there is a care and quality that is not at other BBQ places. Just a taste of their brisket reveals a true understanding of what techniques are needed to get the best out of the ingredients. The visible rings of smoke on the meat reveals a deep flavour profile that is matched with a tenderness that makes you realize you've settled for less for too long. Recommended!

  Very tasty BBQ food, big portions, friendly staff clean accommodations.
  My husband and I ordered Johnny's Jurassic Platter (55.95$) meant for 2 people and it was so big we had to take over half of it home with us, and we were starving when we arrived to eat. Like you can see from the picture it's very generous to call it a meal for 2.
  All in all, would recommend and do plan on going again when I'm next in Steveston. It's an excellent alternative to going for seafood there.
