Stages Doula and Birth Photography

Candice was amazing! We highly recommend her as a photographer, videographer and doula.
I never thought I'd be one to want photos of the birth of our baby, let alone a video of it! We are so glad we did. The emotions it brings when we look at the photos and watch the video are incredible. Some of them I didn't remember happening, even though it was days earlier. I love seeing what was going on around me while I was in my own world.
The images are wonderful and so powerful. Candice did a remarkable job of capturing the feel of the room, the rawness of the labouring and delivery and the beauty in all of it.
Candice is experience and knowledgeable, bringing a great energy with her. She was the right mix of passive and assertive, helping out whenever she was needed. This was our first, so we truly appreciated having the extra support and education available to us.
Candice will be at the birth of our next babe too.

My husband and I hired Candice to be our birth photographer. Candice is amazing at what she does! She was able to capture the most precious and emotional time of our lives. The biggest reason I wanted a birth photographer was to record the moments I might have missed and I'm so glad I did since I had my eyes closed to concentrate for most of my labour. Now I get to relive those moments through her photos. Not only was she a wonderful photographer but she did so much more and really helped us through the hard patches of labour with her support and encouragement. She truly went above and beyond making our birth experience as pleasant as possible.

Candice was sent to us as a back-up doula and she turned out to be the perfect fit for us. In fact, we think she is so amazing that she could really be the perfect fit for anyone who wants to make the experience of labour and delivery a positive one.

We first met her mid-labour and instantly liked her and felt very comfortable. She has an awesome personality and great energy, which made for fun conversation and laughs between contractions. She is very knowledgeable, provided information as we went along and was supportive with every decision. I can’t say enough about how kind, patient and understanding she was with us. She even captured some really great photos that we will always cherish having.

Even though it was a very long and challenging labour, we already look back to the whole experience in a positive way and it truly wouldn’t have been possible without Candice by our side. She is a wonderful person and we are so grateful to have had her love and support in welcoming our baby. We are forever grateful!

My husband and I hired Candice on to join my birth team as our doula and birth photographer. From the moment we met her we knew we loved her genuine spunk and our values for our natural birth plan aligned with her perfectly.

This was our first pregnancy and we truly didn't know what to expect out of the labour and delivery experience. After a lengthy induction process that propelled into active labour in the blink of an eye, Candice was there to support and advocate not only for me but to be a voice alongside my husband as well. Her constant positivity and overall belief and encouragement that we were in control and we would get through the birth as desired was truly irreplaceable.

Not to mention, aside from her doula support, that she took magnificent pictures of the last moments before we became parents to the first moments we looked our daughter in the eyes. I cry every time I look at them. I have recommended Candice to expectant friends and will continue to do so!!

We hired Candice for family photos and she was amazing! She managed to capture so many great photos while successfully wrangling our rowdy puppy and getting the attention of our easily distracted 5 month old. We felt so comfortable with her and even got some beautiful nursing photos. We'll definitely be using her in future!
