  Deer Lake Park is one of those places that someone can go and escape from city noise, nestled within a forest and a peaceful lake. It is absolutely perfect, especially to go for a jog along the many well laid out paths to choose from.
  
  There is also the option to rent paddle boats and even canoes, if you would like to see the park from a different perspective.

  Nice place for a walk or run. On the east side of the lake there are: little playground, toilet and water. Dogs allowed only on a leash. Kayaking and peddle boats available from May to September (check the website for accurate schedule). Beautiful sunsets.

  A serene place in the woods. Good for a walk through the trails. Can spend evenings by the lake side with friends and family. Fishing can be done for leisure or boats can be rented.

  Love walking, love nature, fishing, boating or just relax at a quiet little lake in the middle of the wonderful municipality of Burnaby. This location has so much to offer. A walk around Deer lake will be quite the experience. You can enjoy nature at its best. Ducks, geese, pheasants, ospreys, harriers, barred owls, perching birds of all kinds. Rent a boat and go rowing around the lake, cast your rod and catch a fish or two, visit the art gallery down the trail. Go to Burnaby heritage park nearby and go back in time and go on their carousel. So much to offer here. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up for this location ????
