Black Forest Steak and Schnitzel House

Worth visiting if you’re looking forward to a feast. Grilled pork elbow is great and skin is the best with a bit hard but chewy texture and rich flavorful fat under it. Lean meat is tender, but flavor doesn’t completely go through it. Personally suggested to have one elbow for 2 people if you’re not TRULY hungry and it’s not even half good if you take it home when you find it’s actually really big. Also you may not want your chin to be sore, as it will most likely to be if you chew too much of the pork skin because it’s just so good if you like pork.

I'm reading a lot of reviews regarding the wait. To be honest we came in at 6pm so there were barely any people. We were seated promptly, and both drinks (ordered wine and beer) and food were served rather quickly. Can't say I had a bad experience with the staff either -- everyone was polite, friendly, quick, and were right there when clearing our plates and asking if we wanted to try their desserts (their portions are huge, only had enough room for a Peach Melba). I guess we lucked out. To be honest, the prices were really not that bad for the amount of food you get and considering you're quite far from the main cities. I'd say worth the visit, especially if you're here on vacation or a short trip.

Great gluten free chicken schnitzel! Have not had schnitzel in over 40 years! The calamari was good too however it is done in a mixed fryer with gluten items. Right on lakefront - can sit outside (glass enclosed during off season) or in the restaurant. Would return when in area. Portions are large.

loved everything - the beer tasters, service, atmosphere, free bread... great place. The servings are big enough to share with your mate. We also liked the comfy seating - booths - and that it us the type of restaurant you can hang out in fir casual occasions, or dress up for milestone celebrations. I heard the patio upstairs is heated and has great views.

Great food, friendly service. Food came quick. Large servings, great quality. Definitely will come every visit to Harrison in the future. You get what you pay for, if you want cheap food there's an A&W 10 min away. If you want good food, come here.
