(February 28, 2019, 7:15 pm)Be aware once you pass Halfmoon beach, a windstorm blew down a large section of the forest over the trail. This will slow you down considerably as you must now bushwhack and climb through many fallen tree trunks to continue to the lake.
This hike is still doable in a day under perfect conditions. But it’s much better to play it safe and bring the supplies you need for a multi day excursion. -
