  If you want an honest mechanic this is the place to go ! Rod has always been excellent to deal with - been going here for years. As a woman it is nice to find someone who does not lie to me about what my car needs. Can't say enough about him and the rest of the staff - would highly recommend !!

  Short story: Best and most honest mechanic I have ever found.
  Longer story: I'm in my 50s and have always bought used vehicles, so I've had my share of car/truck issues. I ended up doing most of my own repairs not just to save money, but also because I got ripped off too many times by mechanics that charged an arm and a leg to fix a problem, only to find out later that the problem was still there. This has never happened with Rod. He and Andrew are an absolute pleasure to deal with.
  Here are 2 examples: Brought him my Jeep because the parking brake wouldn't work. Another mechanic before him had replaced all the brake parts, charged labor and parts, and the parking brake still didn't work. Rod fought with it for days until he found the problem and fixed it, where the Jeep/Chrysler dealership had failed.
  Other example: We brought him my wife's car to get the brakes done. He called a bit later to tell us that the brakes still had plenty of life left, no need to do it for at least another year. Awesome Shop. Highly recommended.

  I worked there many years ago. Rod is awesome. I never hesitate to send clients there who break down from out of town or are new to the area.

  The two poor reviews do not sound at all like what I've experienced at Hi-Point. They always go out of their way to help, offer great service and pricing is completely fair. Told my son tonight when Rod agreed to come in tomorrow when his shop is closed to take care of a brake problem that just came up how important it is to find a good mechanic. Rod is certainly that. Couldn't recommend him more.
