I stayed here a week with my family. We stayed in 2 cabins. We were a little surprised with how run down the place was. I wouldn't use the word rustic.
Pros- very affordable. Nice view. Pretty nice dock, sleeps many people. Lake is warm. You can bring pets.
Cons- lots of spider webs (I was a bit bothered by the ones above where we were sleeping.) Our bathroom didn't have a working light. Very little toilet paper. There was supposed to be a big pile of wood but there wasn't or it had all been used. There was no sandy beach area... All rocks. Steps up to he cabin and doors are all super old and a bit shady. We were told there would be 5 gallon jugs of water but there were only 3 gallons so we were out of water quickly.
There might be a disconnect between owners and person who should be taking care of the place. Upon arrival we were told about all the things wrong with the place... Things that weren't fixed except for a new bbq which was delivered once we were settled.

These cabins were as described in a really nice, remote area of the Shuswap. Mattresses were older, but fine for sleeping. A-frame cabins were fun and spacious and everything was clean and worked as it should. Really nice dock and water access with a couple of big fire pits and picnic tables. Overall a great weekend all to ourselves. Road is a bit rough coming in, so make sure you have good tires and drive appropriately.
