(October 28, 2020, 5:12 pm)A magical evening on October 26, paddling with Brian out of Gonzales Beach at sunset. I feel very fortunate to be able to go paddling with Brian and Simon at South Island SUP almost daily. Opportunities abound for casual paddlers, visitors to Victoria as well as club members like myself. Expert guiding on every outing. Boards, paddles and PFD’s are provided. You just show up at a designated beach or at the Oak Bay Marina Boat House and off you go with a small group of congenial people and a guide. Even more, if you are interested in mindfulness meditation or yoga on a paddle board, that is available too. I started paddling during the pandemic and discovered a new world. As a senior citizen, I was surprised to learn that SUP is for all ages, not just the young and super fit.

Such a wonderful experience, I totally loved it! I feel inspired to really develop my skills and take my paddle boarding to the next level for me.

(September 9, 2020, 4:53 pm)I have been paddling with Brian and the crew since May, almost every Tuesday night, and it has been a magical experience every time! Brian is very knowledgeable and easygoing, and everyone else who joins the group is really welcoming. As someone who cannot swim, I feel confident and safe in the water, and I always leave feeling happy and refreshed. Would recommend 100%!!!

(September 4, 2020, 6:34 am)Excellent experience with Brian from South Island SUP. Evening paddle at Gonzales Bay for our first SUP Introduction and it was perfect. Excellent gear, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I’m not sure how he arranged it but we even saw a whale!
