  We have stayed here many times and have been very satisfied but this time we have found the front desk staff to be rude and unhelpful. We requested early check in and were told by front desk staff that the room was almost ready for two hours until we finally insisted it must be ready. Then a problem with the heat in our room was met with staff accusing us of not understanding that it is hard to warm buildings in the winter and that the problem with the heat was us expecting too much. I suppose that struck me funny as we are in Victoria, not Winnipeg. Surely it is possible to heat a room to 20 Celsius here! It’s a great location and nice rooms but the hospitality of staff is drastically reduced from what we have come to expect.

  The rooms are mini suites: kitchen with all the crockery, cutlery, glasses, and small appliances. Big fridge and counter top cooker. The bedroom was lush and a comfy bed with a balcony. The living room had a comfy couch and a big flat screen TV. Very clean and well kept. Reasonable parking rates in secure parking. Close walking distance to downtown. Am returning in May and bringing my team!

  Certainly the best hotel I have stayed at for a while! This hotel literally has a Movie Theater! High Quality Pool and Hot Tub as well as top standard rooms are included. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends visiting Victoria. I did enjoy the Gargantuan fish river they have in their welcoming lobby. I look forward to staying here again!

  Stayed here for 4 nights with my daughter. Only place we ever stay when in Victoria. The service is OUTSTANDING. Thank you for giving us our favourite room. The cleaning staff is out of this world. Perfectly clean every time. Great attention to detail. Love the services this hotel has to offer. Appreciate how quiet, relaxing and peaceful this hotel is. Bed is so so comfortable. Love the fireplace in each room. Wish the coffee in room was of better quality. Thank you once again for a perfect stay!!! Will see you again soon!!!

  I enjoyed my stay at the Parkside Hotel. The room was luxurious and not what we expected at all. I would have put5 stars but the bathroom was not on par with the rest of the rooms. They do not have two double beds in any of the rooms so just be aware. They have hide a beds which we did not know until we hit here. They did give us a nice king size bed to make up for it. The kitchen area is very spacious. Chairs are little heavy to pick up so the floors get scratched easy. They did gave a display of gingerbread houses. Here are my favorites.
