(February 18, 2020, 6:20 am)I've been here probably a dozen times over the last 10 years but tonight was something special. I've had most of the notable staples that people go for here: tropical beef (with coconut rice, of course), the Singapore noodles -- always good, the curries and the satay, but tonight I did the "What's she having?" as a server brought out something brown and craggly. It was an off menu fried chicken. It was so good. Very Asian spice but nothing you don't smell going to Chinatown.

(January 4, 2020, 2:35 am)Great assortment of food, really fresh! Really well done seafood. It's rare for a place not to overcook fish and shrimp, but Tropical Island does an excellent job.
Love the Malaysian fried rice and the green curry. Both super fresh. -

(June 20, 2019, 7:33 pm)Oysters could be done better. It’s quite big with different sauce options, and $7 each. Idk if they always have such big oyster, but I won’t miss the next time if they do and also finish improving the sauce too.

(April 29, 2019, 6:31 pm)You must try the pineapple fried rice! Comes served in a pineapple if you eat in. It's not greasy like at other places and is both refreshing and satisfying at the same time. Basil ribs are good as well.
