Suzanne Sagmeister Photography

Suzanne is not only our family’s photographer, she has become our friend. When you step in front of Suzanne’s lens magic happens. She has captured more than pictures of our daughters. Suzanne has preserved memories of our girls that I treasure.

Our girls have twirled & cartwheeled in front of Suzanne’s lens, they have also laughed until tears trickled down their cheeks, or my favourite when they talk to Suzanne as she clicks, they don’t pose & what Suzanne gets are pictures of exactly who they are in that moment. I don’t know how to explain it other than that, there are no forced painful smiles just moments frozen in time that showcase the girl’s personalities
perfectly.

Next year our oldest daughter graduates grade 12. My daughter’s first thought was not of what dress, or shoes she will wear, or who she may ask to spend that day with, her first thought was “Mom I cannot wait to see what pictures Suzanne takes that day.” I think that this past sentence speaks volumes to Suzanne’s ability to connect & capture the people who are lucky to spend time in front of her camera lens.

Suzanne has captured the most important moments of my adult life. My album cover, my husband's and my engagement and wedding, and now recently the growth of the newest member to our family still tucked safely away inside me. She inspires me to be my most organic, fun, free and beautiful self behind the camera - something that does not come natural to me. We adorn the walls of our home and social media accounts with her precious gifts - our favourite moments captured in time - with incredible pride. The combination of her talent, heart and passion truly produces photographic magic.

As we prepare for our 13th family session with Suzanne, I think back to my favorite pictures. All I have to do is walk around my home, her portraits are hanging on our walls in every room. She has the unique ability to capture each of my five children in moments of pure joy and wondrous imagination. I feel honored that her creative spirit has documented my family’s growth and change over the years. She has a huge heart and will make you feel like an old friend immediately.

Suzanne Sagmeister is one in a million. The moment you meet her, you will feel like you are catching up with an old friend. She is an artist, and is truly passionate about what she does. Taking photos with Suzanne is extremely comfortable (even for those who do not typically enjoy having their photos taken), and the quality of her work never disappoints. It can be a difficult decision choosing a person to capture some of life's most special moments, but with Suzanne, there is no doubt that those moments will be captured in a way that takes your breath away...You're also guaranteed a lot of fun and laughs along the way!

Suzanne has a magic eye and a load of experience, she customized our shoot just for us and captured our kids personalities so well. We have used her several times for photos and always loved the results. Suzanne has a way of making it easy on you, making you comfortable and bringing life out in her work. All of my friends know who’s done my photos because I cannot stop talking about Suzanne Sagmeister.
