I am so grateful for the entire team at WAVES. I called about my 8-week old puppy suffering from vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. His symptoms were relatively mild and seemed non-urgent, but they did a SNAP Parvo test first thing and when it came back positive, they did a second SNAP test to make sure (which they didn't charge me for). Dr. Luke Winter came outside to break the horrible news to me that my puppy tested positive again, and patiently explained my options and the associated costs. He was completely transparent with me from start to end about all of my options, how much each treatment would cost, what he felt was (and wasn't) necessary for my puppy, and he got the ok from me for absolutely everything before they did it. They were overwhelmed with many other emergency patients and only two doctors, but no one at WAVES rushed our conversations or my decisions, everyone was so sweet, and still took the time to check in with me when they saw how distressed I was. Everyone I interacted with was so compassionate, kind, and patient - not only with me (a sobbing mess), but my absolutely terrified puppy who struggled, screamed, and probably did his best to bite them as much as possible the entire time they were prepping and treating him. Thank you all so much, my puppy is doing amazing and is back to himself just 3 days later. You guys saved him.

We couldn't get into our regular vet for an emergency visit so came here. Amazing, caring vet and techs. Even with COVID restrictions, our dog was in and out within 90 minutes. Every option was presented and explained and I felt confident with the route we chose.
If your pet ever needs to see a vet immediately, I would highly recommend WAVES!!

After 4 visits in 6 months to our vet, who didn't diagnose the problem at all in spite of numerous symptoms and history - we brought our dog to Waves - mostly because she was becoming unable to walk and our vet was not responsive to a request for an urgent visit. Waves triaged her within an hour of our arrival, on a busy weekday, and vet doctor talked to us over the phone. He was very clear about the diagnosis, based on observation and history, being neurological in nature, most likely brain cancer. He explained we could do $5-7k worth of diagnostics to find out for sure, but it would not change the outcome. Our dog was terminal. We made an end of life plan; all we wanted was to keep her comfortable and not prolong her suffering. Unfortunately, we had to return the very next day as she deteriorated to the point of no relief. The attending physician and staff did all they could to help us through this difficult time. Because of them we were able to say goodbye to our girl in relative peace. To everyone at Waves - thank you for your professional skill and kindness, it meant so much and it carried us through this most difficult time.

Even though the experience ended up costing a couple grand, I am extremely happy they were available in the middle of the night to help my fur baby. They were so helpful and informative. Throughout the 3 days my kitty was there they updated me every morning and every night and made sure I knew what was going on with him. When I got to take him home they sent me home with thorough instructions on how and when to give him the medications. In an emergency situation I would definitely recommend bringing your pet here.

We took Shad to WAVES as he was throwing up continually. After an ultra sound it was discovered that he had a blockage in his intestine from pieces from a rope pull toy which required surgery. He remained in hospital for 6 days after the surgery. During this time we were updated on his recovery at least twice a day by helpful staff-vets, techs & front desk staff. Upon noting that Shad felt the heat, a fan was put in his pen to make him more comfortable-very thoughtful. All costs were approved by us before they were done. I had approved one cost to be done during surgery but the surgeon did not do that part of the surgery as he found that it was not necessary once he looked inside Shad. Needless to say that we were not charged for it. Yes we had a good sized bill BUT we have a happy healthy dog at home now. Where else would he have had 24 hour care-giving meds, trying to get him to eat, human company, vet on call, up to date equipment to check on his progress & needs. The care that he was given helped keep our stress level in control. Shad's sister & mother have also been helped by WAVES. We hope never to have to have to deal with another emergency but would not hesitate for a moment to return to WAVES & trust Shad's care to them. Thank you to one & all on the WAVES team.
