    Nice Park

Garibaldi Provincial Park, also called Garibaldi Park, is a wilderness park located on the coastal mainland of British Columbia, Canada, located 70 kilometres (43.5 mi) north of Vancouver. It was established in 1920 and named a Class A Provincial Park of British Columbia in 1927. The park is a popular destination for outdoor recreation, with over 30,000 overnight campers and over 106,000 day users in the 2017/2018 season

Garibaldi Park spans an area of over 1,950 square kilometres (753 sq mi), encompassing a majority of the Garibaldi Range mountains. The western side of the park is highly trafficked by the public due to the nearby Sea to Sky Highway providing access to destinations such as Elfin Lakes, Garibaldi Lake, The Black Tusk, Cheakamus Lake, and Wedgemount Lake. The eastern wilderness of the park is harder to access and therefore much more remote than its western counterpart. To the south, Garibaldi Park connects with Golden Ears Provincial Park and Pinecone Burke Provincial Park, while its northern sections stretch past Whistler and end just south of the village of Pemberton.

The lake was spectacular. Although the hike was long, but once you reached the lake the pain of getting up there was absolutely worth it.

Hike wasn't as hard but just long.

Washrooms are located at the start -> 2hrs -> Lake -> Panorama Ridge (Not so clean and smells)

Any cars can be driven till the rubble creek parking lot.

Reservation is a must on the website.

The level of hiking is Easy ~ Moderate; but it’s a looooong way. When you feel like there is no end, you are eventually there. Be aware that the first 2hrs are ONLY CONTINUOUS ASCENDING (no flat or descending) ZIGZAG hiking, which was quite boring for me because there is no view point on the way up.

We left at 7:30am and came back down at 7:15pm. We stopped at the Garibaldi Lake and spent 1hr of break and lunch then continued till the Panorama Ridge spent more time there before coming back down. For this reason, arrive early if you are planning to Hike till the peak!

I was quite afriad of being around the ‘Bear Zone’ but didnt encounter any this day, but still, be alerted, stay around with your friends or have a bear bell hanging on your backpack.

Overall, great experience, great challenge, breathtaking scenery and freezing water. Yes, you can swim if you like the cold.

    Advice:
    - Take enough Water and light snacks (I regret so much having to bring a lot of snacks and food which made my backpack so heavy)
    - For Beginners, Obviously its hot when you are hiking cuz you sweat; but when you are at the lake or peak you may be cold. Take extra hoodie or jacket.

What a beast of a mountain to climb but it is well worth the view at the top. I was upset with the amount of trash I found at the top, particularly in the washrooms. I know this has a lot to do with the tourists hiking the mountain as there are signs “If you take it into the park, please take it out”. Don’t litter please people!
